TfL have this afternoon made us aware that from 3pm today there will be a full eastbound closure of the Mermaid Tunnel on Upper Thames Street due to emergency works. At this time they are unable to confirm when the tunnel will reopen and whether it will reopen prior to this afternoons commuter journeys home.
To ensure that we are able to operate a full service this afternoon, all services will be diverted south of the River Thames to Southwark Bridge. After crossing Southwark Bridge coaches will serve our stops located at Cannon Bridge, Tower Hill and Canary Wharf as normal. Alternative bus stops will be made available as follows:
