We are so pleased to have provided coaches for Starlight for their 18th Starlight Escape at Popham Airfield and 2nd Summer party at Belmont Farm.
Starlight brightens the lives of seriously and terminally ill children by wish granting and also by providing fun, entertainment, laughter and distraction for children in every children’s hospital ward and hospice throughout the United Kingdom.
A huge well done to Adam and Jordan Clarke and the team for completing their row across the English Channel in aid of the AHOY Centre Greenwich on Monday 23rd June!
The team finished the challenge in 4 hours 28 minutes, beating the previous charity record! We proudly sponsored the guys and would like to wish them all the best in reaching their total fundraising goal.
The AHOY charity does a great deal of work within the local community of Greenwich, providing leadership programmes for young disadvantaged and disabled children from the age of 8 upwards, improving their communication, confidence and self-belief. As well as this, the Centre educates young people, teaching them skills that they can utilise in the future when seeking employment opportunities.
On Saturday 25th February Clarkes of London provided transport for The Romford Drum and Corp. We provided a vehicle to take the band to the Bobby Moore Statue in Barking where they met a young remarkable boy, Jonjo before he undertook a charity walk in aid of Bowel Caner.
Jonjo walked from Wembley Stadium to West Ham United where he met Mr Gold on the centre circle of the West Ham Vs Crystal Palace game. This young boy is a true inspiration to young people and we are proud to be a part of his work, for more information on Jonjo and pictures of the day please visit his website on www.fornannyandbobby.moonfruit.com
“Please thank everyone at Clarkes. Jonjo has raised over £55,000 now and his total is still increasing. It was very emotional and having the band there was the icing on the cake, wouldn’t have happened without the help of Clarkes. Jonjo is really hoping to reach his target of £100,000 soon. Love The Heus xx”
